Is there a shake-up in Yellowstone?  The popular Paramount+ show is responding to rumors that Kevin Coster is leaving after season 5.

According to Deadline, Coster wants more time to direct and star in the upcoming western film, Horizon. The outlet reports that the show is in talks with Matthew McConaughey on a new spinoff series to continue the Dutton family saga.

But are the rumors true?  A Paramount Network spokesperson told Deadline, “We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come. Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent with whom we’d love to partner.”

Since its debut in 2018, the series has inspired multiple spin-offs, including the prequel 1883 starring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and the Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford-led prequel, 1923.

1923 was recently renewed for a second season.
