The good news for the Christopher Newport University Men’s and Women’s basketball teams just keeps coming. The CNU Men’s team won the Division III National Championship over the weekend! The game was held in Fort Wayne, IN on Saturday. CNU beat Mount Union 74-72 to score their first-ever national championship win!
It was also a great weekend for the CNU women’s team! They won the Division III semifinals, and will be headed to the women’s national championship in Dallas, TX on April 1st.
The CNU Captains men’s and women’s basketball teams made Hampton Roads very proud this weekend! 97.3 The Eagle sends good luck to the women’s team ahead of their final championship game in Dallas!
