Virginia Historic Garden Week: Norfolk Recap

Last week I was lucky enough to attend two local home and garden tours for Historic Garden Week in Virginia! I shared the Newport News tour recap HERE. I also got to attend the Norfolk tour last week, which I’ll recap for you now!

This home and garden tour took you to see eight properties in the Larchmont/Edgewater area of Norfolk. Six of the properties allowed visitors to tour the inside of beautiful private homes, and the remaining two properties let visitors explore the backyards and gardens only. One of the properties on this year’s Norfolk tour was a beautifully preserved (and still lived in) house from the 1700s!

I had a wonderful time on the Historic Garden Week Norfolk tour! Previously I had never spent much time in this area of Norfolk, and I loved seeing the beautiful homes and gardens.

Thank you to the garden clubs working with Historic Garden Week that provided complimentary tickets to 97.3 The Eagle staff! I definitely recommend checking out these annual events next year! Virginia’s Historic Garden Week is an annual statewide event that celebrates local garden clubs and historic properties throughout the Commonwealth. Find out more about it HERE:
