Dierks Bentley Reveals Why He’s Turned Down Acting Opportunities and Honestly, I Get It

If you follow Dierks Bentley on social media, you know that he loves being outdoors.

The father of three is an avid outdoorsman and loves hiking, biking, and playing pickleball.

Following a move to Colorado at the beginning of the pandemic, he relocated back to Nashville in 2021 to work on his 10th studio album, Gravel & Gold.

So it doesn’t surprise me in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dierks revealed that he has auditioned for television roles in the past before realizing that he doesn’t actually “want to go to L.A.”:

“I don’t think I’d be good enough to doing those things,” he told the outlet. “It requires, like, more time away from home and I just, I don’t want to. I had a chance to audition for Larry David and I decided not to do it. Because again, I’m like, ‘Oh, if I get it, I don’t really want to go to L.A. I got a great gig. I love what I do.”

Dierks will leave home though to kick off his Gravel & Gold tour on June 1.
