Kelsea Ballerini Pauses Concert After Being Hit in the Face with Object: “Don’t Throw Things”

Kelsea Ballerini became the latest performer to be struck by a thrown object while performing Wednesday night.

Kelsea was playing a show at Outlaw Field in Boise, Idaho when someone in the audience threw something that struck her in the face. Kelsea jerked her head back and turned her back to the crown while her violin player checked her out. The singer continued to strum her guitar before eventually walking off the stage.

After taking a short break, she returned to the stage and addressed the crowd, saying, “Can we just talk about what happened? All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know. If anyone’s pushing too much or you just have that gut feeling, just always flag it.”

“Don’t throw things. You know?” she added before resuming the show.

Kelsea later took to Instagram to share that she was doing fine.  She told fans, “it more so just scared me than hurt me,” and added, “I walked off stage to calm myself down and make sure myself, band, crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue.”
