Norfolk Animal Care Center At Capacity; Waives Adoption Fees and Seeks Foster Homes

Do you have room in your heart and home for a homeless animal?

Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center is at capacity. The city shelter shared a message on social media asking for the community’s help as its last dog kennel was filled.

In order to encourage adoptions, the shelter is waiving all adoption fees for dogs through July 9th. This special adoption opportunity includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping.

The shelter shared additional ways that you can help shelter dogs now:

-Foster a dog. Fostering is free, and all supplies are provided for you. Fosters can come by the shelter to pick out a temporary companion and be part of a homeless pet’s lifesaving journey.
-Look for your lost pet at the shelter. Most of the pets at NACC are found in the community.
-Reunite friendly, uninjured lost pets outside of the shelter. Post flyers, post to social media lost and found pages, and ask around in the area where the pet was found.
-Share this post to spread the word!
