Darius Rucker was on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” this week to talk about his new album “Carolyn’s Boy.” Darius also chatted with Kelly his favorite Halloween candy and the time he saw a ghost in his dorm!

With Halloween approaching, the singer recalled a special ghost that visited him one night when he was in college.

 “My grandmother had died. And I wake up one night, three o’clock in the morning, and I look at the edge of my bed. My grandmother’s sitting there,” he told Clarkson. “I sit up, and I wipe my eyes, and I go, ‘wow,’ and she’s still sitting there.”

The incident scared him so bad he tried to hop into his roommate and Hootie and the Blowfish bandmate’s bed. “I get up and run out of my bed, ” he continued. “I run to Dean’s room, and I was like, ‘Dean, my grandmother’s ghost is in my room. Can I sleep in you bed?’ He went, ‘No!’ I went on the couch.”
